The top is on.

Yay! That's a big step.
     I tried clamping the top on with a bag of sand, actually rock salt when you live in New England. I guess it wasn't quite heavy enough to do the job. After letting it sit for about an hour I took it out of the mold and worked at all the places that weren't tight. I drizzled some more glue where I could and reheated the areas and clamped them tight using spring clamps. I plan to check it again tomorrow and if anything is in doubt, I'll reheat those areas and re-clamp. I don't think I'll have to though. I saw this method used on TV at a violin school. The only difference being they used an alcohol lamp to heat those areas, I used a heat gun. This is my second time doing it so I don't expect any problems.



I guess the next step is going to be fitting the neck.
